Our tour starts after picking you up from your hotel it will be a guided tour after breakfast tour starts at 9 am you will be picked and taken to the golden temple, you will go through a Heritage street which is a walking area nicely made and a well-maintained path to the golden temple, you will see lots of shops on your both side which are selling fabric, jutties, and musical instruments, etc, and number of small hotels around the Golden Temple area is also there, which are cheap hotels offers good accommodations.
upon reaching the Golden Temple you remove your shoes and wash your feet then you entered the temple complex, after taking the picture you move to the community kitchen where you see the food being cooked on a large scale and hundreds of volunteers are working there, serving food, washing up dishes and cooking food, etc, you can take part in the Sewa and also you can eat food, every day almost 60 thousand people eat food there, it is from 6 am to 12 midnight free of cost food served to everyone without any prejudice. From here you come back to the Golden Temple and walk on the path of circumambulation you reach in front of Akal Takhat.
Akal Takhat- It is 5 story building built right in front of the archway gate of the golden temple, it is a seat of the temporal power of the Sikhs, it was established by the sixth guru Hargobind where he discussed the social-political problems faced by Sikh community, all the major decision were taken at the Akal Takhat ever since it has come into its existence still major decision is being taken at this place, from here you walked through the archway on the bridge which leads to the Golden Temple, taking few steps you are very close to you main shrine, sometimes there is a crowd and it may take some time to get in the side, once you enter inside the main temple you see in front Guru Granth sahib is lying and respected prised is there attending It usually the Holy book is always rapped in the beautiful clothes and on your left there are singers who sing from the holy book, you sit there if you want otherwise you can keep continuing.
